Inaugural Golf Weekend

The RLE Go Fore It! Foundation held its Inaugural Golf Weekend at Martin Downs Golf Club in Palm City, Florida. The weekend was full of fun for the youth and adults!
The weekend kicked off with a golf lesson on Friday for the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County and Martin County with the help of First Tee and PGA Golf Pro, Sherri Pla. The youth were able to learn and practice basic chip and putt skills.
On Saturday, the Golf Tournament was in full swing with youth on the course, shadowing golfers, for nine holes. The youth came back to compete in a youth putting contest, while the golfers finished their back 9 holes. The experience was memorable for the youth and the adults!
Saturday concluded with a dinner reception where the the RLE Go Fore It! Foundation recognized participants, sponsors, and donors. The evening was made even more special by hearing the Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year from Martin County, and the Youth of the Year for St. Luice County, who also holds the title of Youth of the Year for the State of Florida, speak about their life experiences. Their speeches were heartfelt and moved the entire room. In honor of their perseverance, the Board of Directors presented each with a new set of golf clubs to celebrate their achievements and start their golf journey!
The weekend was in fact a success and it would not have been possible without our participants, sponsors, and donors!

Meet and Greet the Youth of the Year

Christopher took the opportunity to meet the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County and Martin County Youth of the Year with Go Fore It! merchandise in hand to gift to the award recipients.
They are looking forward to their first golf lesson on April 29th at Martin Downs Country Club and Resort, and their first time on a golf course on April 30th, both as part of the RLE Go Fore It! Foundation Golf Weekend.
